A motor vehicle is a common and useful transportation means. Unfortunately, it is dangerous, too. Everybody who owns a car knows that pleasure and comfort of driving are accompanied by the risk of damaging the car, as well as loss of life, health damage, or damage of other people’s property.
For legal entities, damage or theft of a vehicle can influence not only business, but is capable of aggravating relationship between suppliers and clients.
Sooner or later, every owner of a vehicle faces the need to insure his car. Doing so beforehand is a good idea.
Insurance objects:
- cars;
- trucks;
- buses;
- vans;
- special purpose vehicles.
Insurance risks:
- traffic accidents, either in moving or parked vehicle;
- unlawful third party activities, i.e. damage or destruction of an insured vehicle;
- other accidental events, i.e. Act of God, falling objects, collision with animals, etc.; theft of attempt thereof, robbery, burglary, etc.

- Risk of Theft is applied to all situations regardless of time of day and location (within the geographic area under the contract) of the vehicle at the moment of theft.
- Under the contract, failure of the insured person to comply with traffic regulations (including speeding) will not constitute a reason to reject payout of the insurance money.
- If only glass parts of the car are broken, including headlights and mirrors, the insured person has the right not to notify the Traffic Police (GAI) about the accident.
- The contract states 3 business days as the term for the insured person to notify the insurer of the accident that can later be recognized as an insured accident.
- Under the contract, the insurer shall indemnify the insured person for losses arising from transportation of the damaged vehicle, should it be not in working order, to the nearest service (or parking) location.
- The Contract contains a complete list of insurance terms; the text of the Contract does not contain references to any rules or regulations the client may be unaware of.

Rates.
Amount of the insurance payment paid by the client depends on: type of the vehicle, set of risks and services agreed upon under the contract, vehicle operation conditions, term of the insurance contract.
What the insured person must do if insured accident "Traffic Accident" occurs.
Comply with the following Traffic Regulations:
- stop the moving vehicle immediately;
- turn on hazard lights and set up the triangular safety reflector;
- do not move the vehicle or objects at the accident scene;
- do everything possible to get the first aid to hurt people, call for ambulance, or seek help from those who are at the scene, and send them to a hospital or any other healthcare institution;
- notify the police about the accident, wait for them to arrive at the accident scene, make sure to receive an accident report document; write down names and addresses of people involved in the accident and of witnesses thereof, as well as information about vehicles involved in the accident.
If the vehicle is not in the working order after the accident, arrange for towing the vehicle to the nearest guarded parking lot or service station. Notify the insurance company about the accident as soon as possible. Before repairing the vehicle, show the damaged vehicle to the insurance company representative for inspection, and the representative will prepare all necessary documents.
Unlawful third party activities, other accidental events.
- Do not move the vehicle or any objects at the accident scene.
- Do everything possible to minimize the loss.
- Notify the police (or other law enforcement officials, e.g. fire department) about the accident as soon as possible. Be sure to receive an official document stating time, place and causes of the accident. If the accident occurred due to an Act of God, be sure to receive an official document from the weather service or seismological station.
Theft
Immediately report to the nearest police department or other law enforcement office in order to document the accident. Submit a written notification about the vehicle theft (robbery, burglary, etc.), stating names and addresses of witnesses, if available.
Submit to the insurance company: a registration certificate (or a temporary registration ticket), and the complete set of keys to the stolen vehicle (unless the mentioned items were withdrawn by the police, or stolen with the vehicle).
